Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist

Schedule

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Call

• No call responsibilities.

Care setting

• Inpatient psychiatry.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric evaluations and treatment for children and adolescents.
• Develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide medication management.
• Use appropriate psychotherapeutic interventions.
• Manage psychiatric conditions including mood disorders, psychotic disorders and substance use disorders.
• Provide and supervise medical and physical care for admitted psychiatric patients.

Clinical support

• Nurse Practitioner support is provided.
• Collaborate closely with clinical staff, pharmacy and the treatment team.

Certifications

• Child and adolescent psychiatry board certification is preferred.

Experience

• Experience and competence managing a wide age range, from pre-adolescent through geriatric populations, is listed as a candidate requirement.
• Previous inpatient psychiatry experience is required.
• Three or more years of inpatient psychiatry experience is preferred.

Additional assignment details

• Epic EMR experience is preferred.
